About A.C.T.

The Apostolate of Catholic Truth (A.C.T) was founded in 1972 and initially published through its bi-monthly Publication A.C.T. DIGEST, the Holy Father’s Weekly Audiences, Addresses and many of his speeches and homilies along with all new Papal Encyclicals and other Documents and Instructions from the Holy See. A.C.T. has also produced pamphlets and articles on various topics of Catholic interest.

The Apostolate of Catholic Truth has always given absolute loyalty, respect and obedience to the Holy Father and has received endorsement from the Holy See on numerous occasions. As early as 1979 Pope John Paul 11 sent the following Message:

The Holy Father sends you his cordial encouragement in your Apostolate of Catholic Truth and he is pleased to note the care with which you seek to bring before the public the full texts of Papal Statements and Documents. He assures you of his prayers and imparts to you his Apostolic Blessing.

Vatican City, 12 June 1979)

In 1998 our Apostolate decided to keep abreast with modern technology and developed a Web Page offering information and details of our Publications. We also offered an enquiry Help Line for both Catholics and non-Catholics. From these enquiries we have always sought to give honest replies to comments and enquiries. We do not of course claim infallibility but we always endeavour to follow ‘The mind of the Church’ on all matters concerning the Catholic Faith. Whenever there is any doubt we seek the views of reliable and orthodox theologians.

Our new Web Page hopes to continue to promote Catholic literature ‘On-Line’ and will forward any articles etc. shown on these pages to anyone who may request. The enquiry Help Line will also continue.

Our first initiative is to offer a series of leaflets based on the Catechism of the Catholic Church and produced by a Parish Priest from the Archdiocese of Southwark. The leaflets have been prepared as four-page A5 and can be forwarded to you in either WORD or Acrobat format.
